About Us
Peeling paint, faded siding, and water stains can make a good home look neglected and they can let moisture creep in. At Otago Painters, we fix the root problems and deliver durable results as your interior house painter, exterior house painter, and roof painter in Otago.
Our crew has years of hands-on work in Otago and we follow a strict prep plan that includes washing, scraping, sanding, priming bare spots, tight caulking, and lead safe methods when needed before any finish coat. We avoid the mistakes that cause failure such as painting over chalky surfaces, skipping primer on patched areas, working in the wrong temperature or humidity, or laying one heavy coat that flashes and peels, which leads to blistering, leaks, and mould.
Most exteriors need new paint every five to ten years in our climate and high traffic interiors often need touch ups or repaint in three to five. You get clear pricing, daily updates, careful masking, and clean edges, and we use the right products for each surface such as 100 percent acrylic on siding, low odour paint inside, mildew resistant finishes in baths, and we plan around weather so your paint cures right.
We handle interiors with crack repairs, caulking, priming, and two coat systems that level out and last, exteriors with wood repair and weather rated paint that fights sun and rain, and roof painting or coating that reflects heat and helps shed water. Good timing, clean prep, and the right products prevent peeling and blistering, while rushed work, cheap paint, skipped primer, or painting on hot or damp surfaces leads to early failure and costly do overs.
