About Us
Peeling paint, stain bleed, and patchy colour happen when prep is rushed or the wrong products are used, and painting in bad weather only makes it worse. Otago Painters fixes that with tight surface prep, the right primers and paints for each surface, smart timing in Otago, and careful application as your interior house painter, exterior house painter, and roof painter.
Our crew has years on homes in Otago, so we know how local sun, rain, and temperature swings hit wood, stucco, brick, and metal. We are licensed and insured, we follow lead safe methods on homes built before 1978, and we guard your floors, plants, and neighbours while we work.
Your project comes with a written scope, daily updates, and a clean finish that lasts, plus a workmanship warranty we actually answer. We use top paints matched to Otago weather, prep until surfaces pass a tape test, and apply two true coats over primer, never over chalk or mildew, and never thinned.
Interiors include drywall repair, stain blocking, caulking, sanding, and smooth spray or brush and roll finishes that cover evenly and stop yellowing from kitchen stains and wood tannins. Exteriors and roofs start with washing and scraping, then spot priming bare areas and sealing gaps, because skipping prep or painting in cold or damp air causes peeling, blistering, and early failure, and we plan work for the right weather window and paint metal and tile roofs while avoiding asphalt shingle coating unless the shingle maker allows it.
