About Us
Faded siding, peeling trim, water stains that keep bleeding through, or a roof that looks tired can drag down a good home fast. At Otago Painters in Otago, we fix the root cause with careful prep and timing, and we handle interior house painter work, exterior house painter projects, and safe roof painter coatings that last.
Our crew brings strong skill with surface prep, colour matching, and finish application, and we back it with careful planning and a clean job site. We are insured, lead safe trained, and we paint to manufacturer instructions so your paint holds up in Otago weather.
You get clear written scope, neat job sites, daily updates, and work that starts and finishes on time, so you aren’t left guessing. We use proven primers and top line low odour paints, we’re licensed and insured, and we stand behind the work with a workmanship warranty that we honour.
Interiors include drywall repair, stain blocking, caulking, sanding, and smooth spray or brush and roll finishes that cover evenly and stop yellowing from kitchen stains and wood tannins. Exteriors and roofs start with washing and scraping, then spot priming bare areas and sealing gaps, because skipping prep or painting in cold or damp air causes peeling, blistering, and early failure, and we plan work for the right weather window and paint metal and tile roofs while avoiding asphalt shingle coating unless the shingle maker allows it.
Our roof painter work focuses on safe access, rust treatment, and reflective or waterproof roof coatings for metal or tile roofs to cut heat and extend roof life. We never paint over mildew, skip primer on glossy or chalky surfaces, or paint in direct midday sun because those shortcuts cause flashing, blistering, and early failure.
